 > 1885 to 1889 - Training at Rajkumar College, Rajkot


 > May 1888 - Miraj to Kolhapur - Railway work started - started by Shahu


> 1891 - Lord Harris opens the railway


 > 1897 - Drought works - Cheap loans to farmers and supply of foodgrains - Ashram at Uchgaon for lepers.


 > 1900-01 Vedokta movement


 > 1901 - Victoria Maratha Boarding, Digambar Jain Boarding after 1921 - 20 Hostels


 > 1901 - Govt


 > July 26, 1902 - Announcement of 50% reservation in jobs for backward classes


 > 11 Jan.  1911 Kolhapur Satyashodhak Samaj


 > 1912 - Pvt.  Education - compulsory and free


 > July 1917 - Remarriage Act


 > Feb.  1918 - Kulkarni estate closed, Talathi system introduced. Inter-caste marriage law


 > March 1918 - Balute system discontinued


 > June 1918 - Mahar Watane closed


 > August 1918 - Criminal Tribe Attendance Act closed


 > 14 Dec, 1918 - 'President of Navsari Arya Dharma Parishad


 > Go.  1921 - Establishment of Kshatrajagadguru


 > Feb.  1922 - Delhi - A.B.  President of the Untouchable Council


 > May 6, 1922 - Died at Panhala Lodge, Mumbai


 > Leadership of non-Brahmin movement - m.  After the flower, he literally led the non-Brahmin movement.

 •  The aim of this movement is to eliminate social inequality and bring justice to the Bahujan Samaj here.


 > Shahu Maharaj and Satyashodhak Samaj - Inspired by Maharaj

 •  11 Jan.  1911 - In Kolhapur - Satyashodhak School -

 •  Satyashodhak movement leadership in Satara district after 1910 - Bhaskarrao Jadhav

 •  1919 - At Kale in Satara - Council of Satyashodhak Samaj under the chairmanship of Keshavrao Bagade.  There Bhaurao Patil announced the establishment of 'Rayat Shikshan Sanstha'.


 > Untouchability -

 • Mahar, Mang Ramoshi Baird's attendance stopped.

 •  Balutedari Mahar Watane closed.

 • Gangaram Kamble La - 'Satyasudharak Hotel' removed on the streets of Kolhapur.

 •  Tried to give a new identity to the untouchables.  He used to call his wrestlers 'Jat wrestlers'.  Also called Chambhars - Sardars, Bhagyans - Pandits and Untouchables as Suryavanshi.

 •  Sept.  1919 - Separate schools for the untouchables are closed and anyone can enter any school.

 • March 20, 1920 - The first conference of the untouchables was held at Mangaon.  Maharaj's contribution behind it,

 •  Vedokta Tilak criticized him for creating the right to recite Vedic mantras or not.


 > Oct.  1901 - An order is issued that all religious rites in the palace should be performed in a Vedic manner.

 •  1901 - Panchganga Ghat opened to people of all castes and religions.

 •   To break the monopoly of the priesthood - Shahu -

 •  Kshatriya Vedic school started on 6th July 1920


 > From 30th September 1917 - The first compulsory and free school - in Karveer taluka - Chipripes Pvt.  From the case of learning - the plan is implemented.

 •  Established 22 hostels for students of different castes.
• Scholarships for poor - needy - students.
